Growing Soybeans For
Profit With the Insta-Gro Program
Soybeans require larger amounts of potassium than other nutrients. Insta-Gro
Bean Special Program contains salt-free potash, phosphorous with 100% availability.
All beans require high potash levels and a sweet soil. Insta-Gro with its
Insta-Cal, Insta-K and Insta-Sul is a natural.
Recommendations For
Soybeans. Navy Beans and Pole Beans
For soybeans, navy beans, and pole beans, apply 4 to 8 gallons of Insta-Gro
Bean Special per acre, All deep placed. Drilled soybeans require 6 to 10
gallons in the row when planting.
Application rates will vary with area and yield desired. Always foliar feed for greater profit.
Note: Do not
put Insta-Gro directly on seed or sandy soils.
Fast, early emergence and root development insures more uniform stand, improved
competitive ability of the crop against weeds, insects and disease, helps
plants overcome adverse weather conditions, better plant food utilizations,
and hastens maturity. This all adds up to better quality, bigger yields
and more profits!
Starter program:
9-18-9, 3-18-18, Insta-Cal, liquid potash
As a rule of
thumb, use 2 to 5 gallons of 9-18-9 or 3-18-18 in row per acre.
Note: If soil conditions are really dry and hot add 3 to 5 gallons of water with starter per acre.
Note: Insta-Cal may be put in row at rate of 1 to 2 gallons per plus 2 gallons water where calcium deficiencies are low.
Weed Control:
Use 1 to 2 gallons of Insta-Cal per acre with pre=emerge herbicide. You
may cut the application rate of herbicide by 25 to 30%. With post emerge
control use 3-4 gallons per care of 9-18-9. Herbicide may be cut 25 to 30%.
Important:
Most soils need calcium and sulphur. It is sound and profitable to apply
2 to 3 gallons of insta-Cal and Insta-Sul per acre.
For increased profits and yields:
First foliar feed 3 gallons 9-18-9 at prebloom for better pod set and increased yields. Second, foliar feed 3 to 5 gallons of 3-18-18 at 85% pod set to fill pods and increased size for beans for yield increases. The above recommendations are subject to average growing conditions.
Insta-Gro is already in plant food form and immediately ready to go to work. Insta-Gro bean special is in the roots of the bean plant in seconds after being sprayed.
1st Spray:
Apply 1 to 2 gallons of Insta-Cal per acre at 2 to 3 trifoliate leaf stage. This Spray is optional
2nd Spray:
Apply 3 to 5 gallons of Insta-Gro 9-18-9 per acre at pre-bloom.
3rd Spray:
Apply 5 gallons of Insta-Gro bean special when plant has set 70 to 85% of pods. This last spray gives the bean plant food when it needs it most, forming and filling the pods.
Foliar feeding beans give 8 to 15 bushels per acre increase.
Navy beans, Snap beans, Pole beans, Etc.
Many of the characteristics of the navy bean plant, etc are found in the above. However, the navy bean, snap bean, etc. enjoys and responds to a little more nitrogen.
1st Spray:
Apply 3 to 5 gallons of Insta-Gro; 9-18-9 when 4” to 6” high and again when the beans are small around 4 to 6 inches high.
2nd Spray:
Use 3-18-18 to fill out the pods.
Note: On snap beans use 9-18-9 on all sprays to keep beans from maturing for extra picking.
Apply Insta-Cal at 1 to 3 gallons per acre when beans are small; around 4 to 6 inches high.
