product is the same as our 3-18-18 special, other than the ratio has been
changed to give extra nitrogen in the formulation.
2-0-24-16
This
is the newest member of fine products, a real winner. 2% nitrogen, 0% phosphorus,
24% K and 16% Sulfur. It comes with a neutral pH. Use as a starter, foliar
feed, mix with nitrogen 28% or 32%, blend with 10-34-0 for K + Sulfur. May
be mixed with any of the other Insta-Gro formulations. Now the big plus
may be mixed with Insta-Gro’s INSTA-CAL liquid calcium.
9-18-9
Insta-Gro 9-18-9 is actually an all-purpose formulation that can be used for
a variety of crops such as corn, wheat, oats, milo, flax, sunflower, sugarbeets,
other root crops, vegetable, and orchards. This product offers a 1-2-1 ratio
that is high in phosphorus, for that all-important root growing in early spring.
9-18-9 is also an excellent spray for trees at budding and fruiting time,
to really put bloom, size, and firmness on your tree crops. It is also recommended
for ground fruits and vegetables in specially planned feeding programs.
When one understands the difference between fertilizer and plant food, it
is easier to understand why it takes only 6-8 gallons of INSTA-GRO liquid in-the-row or ten gallons deep placed to give the same results as up
to five times the amount of other fertilizers placed in the soil. Plant food
can be completely utilized by the plant, it will be
available and ready to go to work.
INSTA-GRO is homogenized, nitrogen, phosphate, potassium and chelated trace elements are all homogenized so they do not break apart or tie up in the soil and are immediately available to the plant. This is all extremely important when considering a starter fertilizer in its entirety. A starter fertilizer must be a product that has a pH of 6.8 to 7 so that young sprouts can utilize plant food as plant food, not fertilizer. This is what INSTA-GRO does.
INSTA-GRO plant food is available in a number of formulations to give you the customer the right type of analysis for the program or the crop he is growing. As with any plant food, it is important, however, to have soil tests taken. A complete soil test is available through the Insta-Gro program so that you, in using the INSTA-GRO program will have the success in growing a crop that you deserve.
3-18-18
Soybean and Corn Special. Here is an effective formulation that is becoming
increasingly popular with many Midwest growers. It is not only high in phosphorus,
but also contains the important element potash. 3-18-18 is a popular application
for soybeans, alfalfa, and for the last foliar feeding on sugar beets (boosts
the sugar content!). It can also be used on orchards where early maturity
is helpful. It also helps bring a higher color to the fruit. Many corn growers
actually prefer the 3-18-18 ratio to 9-18-9, primarily because of the high
potash content.
5-20-5
A perfect formula for transplanting solution. For in row starter on soybean
or any crop where soil is light loam or sandy.
10-10-10
An excellent ration for a variety of crops, particularly those requiring extra
nitrogen, may be used as in row starter. Grass-type hay and pastures benefit
greatly from this formula, and it also serves as an economy formula in the
foliar feeding of wheat, oats, and other small grains. 10-10-10+1 can be used
as the first spray on corn, soybeans, and similar crops, or as a “booster”
when plant growth is unusually slow. 10-10-10 is exceptional on spraying peas.
